Wine gives courage and makes men more apt for passion.

The ancient trade routes from Europe to the Far East are a
metaphor for the convergence of Eastern and Western cultures.
As a result of the contact between Europeans and Asians, both
were enriched and changed forever.
Our story celebrates this exchange and provides a history for
Chinese wine making arising from contact with the Europeans
during the middle ages.
The China Silk logo evokes this cross-cultural imagery. |

YEARS OF HISTORY OF FERMENTED WINES CONFIRMED IN CHINA |
Our wines come from the Tian Shan Mountain region of China -
ancient crossroads where cultures mixed and traded exotic
goods. The fabled Silk Road passed through one of the world's
finest regions for wine production. |
 |
 |
China Silk wines are the product of a unique micro-climate and
rich viniferous soils.
The wine making traditions of skilled artisans, handed down
over centuries, in combination with modern winemakers' expertise bring East and
West together again in the Appellation region of Xinjiang. |
This chop is an ancient symbol recognized by both Eastern and Western
cultures.
It is found in both Christian and Confucian symbolism. For our story it is symbolic of the crossroads of East and
West. |
We also think it
suggests
long life, health and happiness!
|
|
The Tian Shan Mountain region provides a metaphor for the a favorable climatic growing conditions and oils which provide the basis for China
wines. Steeped in mystery and allure, the Tian Shan Mountain imagery reinforces our story
graphically.
